| About |
An old picture I found and did not retouch. It was shot around 1978 on Rio de Janeiro, Leblon beach. But I think if I said I shot it last week it'd fit as there's no evidence of time on it, except the marks it left on the negative. I like its saturated colors, contrast and over saturated skin tones. I think they help us feel the heat it was and fit nicely into this Photo Project. There's also an interesting illusion - is the guy in front or behind her? The camera was a Nikon F from a friend's father and the lens a 300/4.5 non AI. The film was the old faithful Kodak Color (not Gold yet...). Those were good times, when you could go to the beach and shoot friends with such a camera and not be bothered. Shot handheld and aperture I'd guess around 5.6 or 8.0. Speed unknown.

If not anything else, the beach chairs do give a feeling of this photo being in the 70's. I like the saturation and framing. Regarding the illusion, the guy is definitely in the front. His left hand is blocking her b**t view ;)

Hi Dev,
thanks for the comment and also for adding me as a friend. unfortunately, since I'm not a donor I'm not allowed to do the same but it keep an eye on your images, for sure.
Yes, the hand tells the truth, but if you really concentrate until you're able to see the image without that hand (hmm... revelations shall occur...) it's not that easy to tell.
My best, Dev!
