| About |
Placeholder frozen in place as Joe Nedney and the kickoff team for the SF 49ers practice during training camp, just before their first 2007 pre-season game.
For anyone surprised by the image, it's true that you have holders on kickoffs if it's windy, but off a tee. Nedney is a field goal kicker. And in practice, they do - what they do. Offensive guys play D, and vis-versa. And field goal kickers help in practicing punt coverage.

Though my knowledge of American Football is inversely proportional to Einstein's knowledge of 'Theory of Relativity', but still I really like this image Joe. Great study of movement and stillness, all the action around that still player. I like the composition also. Regards Subhrajit

being a niner fan and growing up 3 blocks from kezar as a kid, this is a awsome shot, most would not understand the FG kicker having the ball held, but they have never visited candlestick park ie monster. I went to the last spring training a couple of years back but didnt get any nice action shots like this.. very well done..

Thanks, I only wish the 'niners' had more going for them on offense than Nedney, here, and Andy Lee the punter. One wonders if the problem doesn't start with a 'don't lose' coaching style of the son of Dick Nolan?
