Very good idea and work! Congratulations!

Oh yes.

Firstly the conversion is perfect. The blacks are rich and deep and the whites crisp.

The image is beautifully sharp and the choice of square perfect for the subject because the frame forms part of the image, not just something to keep it on the web page!! I love that warm white matting between image and frame.

Composition is great and the idea excellent and carried of perfectly.

I like the use of lines throughout (mainly vertical) and am surprised that they do not lean as they tend to do. Corrected? Well done.

Best wishes.

Thank you Paul for your flattering and considered comment. This is an image I am particularly fond of. It was the result of photoshop and a wet afternoon. The location is an historic cottage built by a Scots Settler (Andrew Mitchell) in 1880 that took until 1904 to finish. Andrew and his wife raised their 10 children here in extreme conditions that many families today would consider primitive.

Regards John
