Hi Kes,

Yup it was snowing in town today...gack....we had to come back from the mountains as a result. But it will be better tomorrow so back out we go! Hey lost my Lee filter and mount on a helicopter ride 2 days ago....crap had to buy new ones...Well at least the new ones won't have any scratches...lol. That misfortune made the heli trip double in price. I better get back to work to pay for all the play expenses. Oh yeah I also bought the .9 ND soft grad filter to see how it works out. I got it also for the upcoming trip to Antarctica where the contrast might be tough to shoot with out it. I am finding the hard grad not really a general filter much better for a hard horizon situation.

Summer in Antarctica...that's got to be cool!

That is quite a loss...some lucky marmot will find that filter & ring that you jettisoned. Helicopter, eh? I don't know if it counts as exercise, but I can imagine an elevated heart rate along with a tinge of blue in the air.

Tiffen & a few others make glass 4x4 filters...

The .75 hasn't been a problem for me yet, and I'm using it more than the .6 nd grad. Was worried about overdoing the sky, but so far things look ok. However, i haven't been shooting much at all.

My purchasing days are limited as today my daughter's orthodontist said her bill would be around $5500. Ouch. Would like to squeeze in a plate and L bracket for my little pod....
