Congratulations, Don.

I feel like I am in the plantarium. Is there a filter involved or just a tripod?

This would work well in the Concentricity project.

Cheers, Lee

Hey, Don. I see your comment that the photo took 4 hours and that makes sense to me now.. the header information says 5 minutes, so I was confused.

It is striking because we are actually looking at infinity at the center of the circle.

More cheers, Lee

Marvelous star trails shot! I love your composition with the placement of the trails against the land. The branches, particularly the one on the mound to the right seem to be raising their 'arms' in celebration of the glorious sight. Excellent. I love it. Congratulations on the Award.
I really like my new Canon S5 IS. However, I do wish I had the capability of long exposures such as this. A lovely star trails picture is on my 'want to do someday' list.

it's amazing Don , great one..
you should have exposed it about 5 hours , don't you?
and good place for doing this , minimum of light pollution , and nice blue and red color tones on the sky with good foreground composition...
very well done!
Regards.
