About Portraits of children we came across during a trek to Mt. Gulugod in Mabini, Batangas on the 14th of July 2007. Somehow while I was there, made me wonder how these kids are going to keep up with other kids who live in the city, playing video games, hanging out in the malls, wearing good stuff, eating good stuff... etc. so I wondered, how are they going to keep up...

Beautiful portrait and indeed good question because if only they remained untouched by the surrounding world, they would probably live a good life in their own surroundings but noone can be isolated completely from the rest of the world anymore. There will always be some kind of impact due to pollution, tourism, politics, economical interests etc.
A difficult question to deal with.
Best wishes
Annemette

Fantastic pic but believe me they will cope up better than the city breds who are more vulnerable, unfortunately they do not get the oppurtunities ,cheers, subhash.

What a beautiful, beautiful shot. You had wonderful opportunity to contemplate and record their life if only for a moment.
