Thank you much for the welcome back, Shirley. Now I'm almost catching up after losing my whole portfolio in the computer mess.

Thank you, Ani... maybe romantic but I am here to tell you... cold as heck, too.... I froze my petunias off. Lucky it is fall.

Hugs,

You are welcome, Dave! So sorry about your loss. That's why I put my photos on CD's regularly.

Dave Arnold   {K:55613} 10/5/2007
I'm usually good (or used to be) about backing up... but I don't trust CDs, either. I've had them fail too. I have all my small versions (for UF) saved up to August... it's the full size stuff I lost and it would (will) just take a lot of time going back to the originals and re-doing the post-editing. Biggest loss is the loss of the gallery-cropped and ready to print stuff... that's taken me all week to get more ready to replenish what has sold.

Shirley D. Cross   {K:141801} 10/5/2007
Well, I guess I've been lucky...only had one CD fail, and it was nothing critical. My best things, I back up several times. I have a friend who is using the gold CD's, which are supposed to last much longer, but too expensive for the amount of work I do.

Kiarang Alaei   {K:49060} 10/5/2007
*You are welcome...

mahassa bahri   {K:10958} 10/7/2007
seems like you cut the water! and captured this from below the surface of water, it seems so strange to me,I mean no matter how I look at it I don't get where the stones come from, looks like they're under the water!!
it looks like Escher's work,
amazing and fascinating,
best, mahassa

mahassa bahri   {K:10958} 10/7/2007
a favorite, 7+++

Dave Arnold   {K:55613} 10/10/2007
Thank you, Mahassa. Some of the rocks are under water and some are peeking out. I loved the crystal clear lakes up here, the gave that opportunity to see those rocks below.

Best wishes,
Dave

mahassa bahri   {K:10958} 10/11/2007
yeah, an excellent opportunity which you used in the best way,
best, mahassa
