OMG you went to Barstow? This may sound crazy but I spent a lot of time there... NO, not at the motel... but in the desert... there is an old mining camp called "Coolgardie Camp"... I used to tent camp there in the desert and prospect for gold... good gold there (but don't tell anyone!) ;-). I so loved camping in the desert...... it is soo peaceful! And this photo is sooo good, I love the way you captured that sign in the window. Very cool old car! The colorful lights are great too! Well done again!!

its a fun shot... i know you must have this truck in 20 different positions and chose the best one to display... I think the only drawback to digital is all the good shots that aren't shown...

Thanks, David. You are right, I did shoot quite a few of these. Problem with night shooting is time, though. Takes forever and the next thing you know, its two hours later. I also find that one of my first two or three shots is the winner and everything I do after that to "improve" the composition or lighting is a waste.
