From the two images I think I prefer this one for its greater sense of depth that places the protagonist into "real" coordinates! The lighting and the darker tones perfectly matches the subject - falling asleep. Still there are more than enough details that add a familiar look, like for example the texture of the pillow. Last but not least a real humoristic touch. Fall asleep but my milk bottle is *my* milk bottle - I don't give it up! You know, such subtle humor is real humor at the end, quite in opposition to the much too much "isn't that soooo funny" kind of garbage that we see every day. For this alone I smile and lough with you, and I get more and more interested about what you could be doing next!
