About I should not be posting this picture...in fact, I should be nowhere near the vicinity of my desk...I have a million and one things I should be doing apart from sitting here typing this.
I should not have googled a search for Photoshop brushes, I should not have found gorgeous wing brushes, and I certainly should NOT have decided after I downloaded wings brushes decided to have 'a quick play' with them....
I am a very naughty person.
But...I couldn't help but share this one!

I shouldn't be viewing this post that you shouldn't have posted after you found the wings brush that you shouldn't have googled, shouldn't have downloaded, and shouldn't have played around with because I shouldn't be sitting here either...I have million things I SHOULD be doing...but, who gives a rat's a$$...this is more fun than the other 999,999 things to do. Guess we're both going to be standing in the corner for being naughty... ;)

Cute image Bek...what the heck is a "wings brush"?

Hugs...Robin

Larry Fosse   {K:65632} 10/18/2007
You're just evil...but you have captured and very cute butterfly....excellent postwork Bek

rebecca claassen   {K:16334} 10/19/2007
LOL Robin...standing in the corner huh? That would be a really, really bad idea...because it just so happens that my desk and computer are in the corner!!!! Can I sit?

I am working in Photoshop CS2, as well as PS Elements these days, and 'brushes' are....brushes.
You know, like a brush..for painting and stuff. There are a gazillion of brushes that are available to download, made by people to use in PS. Hearts and buttons, dogs, scratches, faces, eyelashes..anything at all. You name, there is a brush out there of it somewhere.
The wings pack that I downloaded has butterfly wings, angel wings, dragonfly, bat, bird, faerie...all sorts of wings.
So they are kind of like a stamp that you put where you want in the size that you want, colour etc.
I'm sure I have just given you a very long explanation for this, but I just got out of bed and my brain is a little sllllllowwww in the mornings. I am not terribly articulate!

Glad to hear Tyler is holding steady, big smooches for the little guy.
Hugs to you too, B xxx

Evil? Moi? You MUST be thinking of someone else Larry, surely!
This is the only way I can get a shot of a butterfly, darn things flit around much to quickly for my slow brain.
I have had thoughts now that I should have erased the overlap/underlap of the back wing, at the time I was going for a translucent kind of look, but I think it would have been better if I had erased it. Hmmmm, oh well.
cheers.....Evil B

This is adorable. I love the sense of innocence and joy this has.

Dani Kimel   {K:1174} 10/19/2007
Hehe, I d/l'd some wings brushes last night too! Got a few sets of diff brushes but havent played with them yet.

Awww shes so cute! Great picture to use with the wings, & I love the shadow on the ground too. I agree bout erasing the overlapping of the back wing, if you do that it'll look less like you used a brush and more like she actually had wings (you wont be able to see that the edges are the same on both wings then)

Sandra Anderson   {K:5837} 10/19/2007
What a beautiful shot - very creative, perfect she was wearing a red dress and I love the desat background...and I love the clever shadow of the wings in the grass...

Heh heh heh. I shouldn't be picturing you and Robin standing in the corner either . . . but wow. No, not you two. The WINGS! WAY cool! :)

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Wow, very well done, Bec. Now you've made me want to start Googling, but, it's late, and I really should be thinking of going to bed. But, I've been away and haven't been able to even turn the computer on. Going through Withdrawal!! I suppose I'll be standing in that corner with you, too, soon.

rebecca claassen   {K:16334} 10/24/2007
Hi there Mary, your comment made me smile, am happy to hear that this image invokes these feelings.
cheers, Beks

rebecca claassen   {K:16334} 10/24/2007
Not too sure about the wings shadows, I know they have to be there but I'm not sure if I did them 'right'.
Thanks so much Sandra, hope you're feeling lots better!
cheers, B xxx

rebecca claassen   {K:16334} 10/24/2007
Thankyou Maja,
cheers, B

rebecca claassen   {K:16334} 10/24/2007
Plenty of room here for you too Doyle, I will just shift the elephant out of the way, oh and the tractor....there you go....
Thanks
B

rebecca claassen   {K:16334} 10/24/2007
Thankyou Bartosz,
cheers, Beks

rebecca claassen   {K:16334} 10/24/2007
Now that I have moved the elephant and tractor for Doyle, there is a tonne of room Ann, feel free to step into the corner at any time!
The beauty of Google, it's there ALL the time, it will wait.
Withdrawal is not good, I too have been busy, too busy, but I have to sneak in here every now and then and post the odd pic and comment.
cheers, Beks

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99397} 10/24/2007
Oh HECK no! If you have an elephant Marlyce will surely want one too! If I had as much fun as Gene . . . Ooooh! Dibs on the CORNER!!! Hmmmm . . . Perhaps me and some angel wings . . . . hmmmm. :P

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

rebecca claassen   {K:16334} 10/24/2007
Well Doyle, there may be a bit of a problem there....I don't really 'see' you as the angel wings type for some reason. In that set of brushes is a pretty groovey set of Dracula wings tho', perhaps they would be more suited to your fez and smoking jacket. You just email me the picture and we will see what we can arrange...LOL
cheers, Bek

Shirley D. Cross   {K:138496} 10/30/2007
Adorable shot of the child to begin with, and I love that you added the wings. So, there are angel wings to download? I'll have to look into that, since my actual wing photos have been very limited. I usually prefer using only my own photos for my creations, but sometimes, it's not possible to have all the elements.:)

laura diaz   {K:1185} 11/6/2007
perfect shot , cute

rebecca claassen   {K:16334} 11/6/2007

All the best.

This is just beautiful! I didn't even realize this was Photoshopped when I first saw it! It's perfect! 7++
