Well spotted. The mosaic pattern and the strong silhouette make an interesting combination. This image works just as well for me with only the silhouettes of the bicycles.

What an excelletly simple composition! Geometry of shadows and light in black andd white and that's it! Few words, great meaning! The shape and the symmetry of the bicycle and pole and their shadows gives the sense for orientation.
A bit of overexposure steals some details from the interesting texture of the ground and adds some kind of artefact at the controus of the shadows against light. The bicycle looks just a bit unclear this way. On the other hand that plentiful of light makes it look much like a small revelation - it makes up for the atmosphere of just light and shadow.
Very carefully seen and very wel done!

Leo, this is a great capture of shadows in B&W. I know it is from an old image, however, IMO the pedals should be rotated to show the right pedal in the area of the fork and the left pedal at the bottom, also a little more space between the front wheel and the pole. Just my ideas, you still have a good image as always.
