As I was sitting around bored and wondering if I would have a house to come back to in San Diego, I took a few shots of the sun through the smoke. This is through a palm tree at my in laws where we had to evacuate to. Our house did survive, thankfully.

very quiet and romantic, nevertheless... (biblical prophets would have said, that all the natural catastrophes hitting usa in the last year are god's punishment (s. inflicted on pharaoh in egypt to let moses go:)) for the wars you lead in iraq and afghanistan)
