Amazing shot, I have seen these letters from books, from TV documantaries...even from Asterix & Ovelix comic! lol... however I didn't know what these letters means... I have that fealling these was the first letters of words but...
Excellent image!

The acronym that became the symbol of one of the most powerful empires of the world. A remembrance of the fact that even the most powerful will decay some day. Only the works of mental activity will remain despite the fact that their power seems to be much less of that of an empire.

The contrast of the letters agaonst the marble/stone is incomparably strong and the contours are perfectly sharp. But I don't really know hoe to look at the composition as a whole. Do the additional lines at the top and at the bottom strengthen or do they weaken the image? When I crop them off then something is missing. When I look at your image something is too much for the simplicity of the symbol. I can only take the way between the two extremes and cut off some of those additional parts at the top and the bottom. What you you think?

Al the best,

Nick

Suggestion for a crop

You are very welcome again, Claudia! And again it is only a suggestion.

This one keeps me puzzled. It wouldn't do so if it weren't as powerful.

All the best,

Nick
