Pan and his inimitable style of spreading a deeply silent and sometimes also melancholic atmosphere by using strong but simple means!

This one lives from geometry but there are still many things to discover that complete the look of the image. Like for example the shadow of the railing falling on the steps, but looking also much like surface texture of wood, and giving thus some more aged "wooden" feel to the steps, that fits well the darker toning. It goes much in the direction of an old image that has been held in the hands of people many times, and carries noe the signs of times.

The simplicity with which the subject is presented still has some elements of an abstract - a quarter of a circle and a line. So it is an image of reality and of imagination too. Or perhaps somewhere between the too, which I often see in your personal style, Pan. A master of twilight!

Keep it up and all the best!

Nick
