Yes!!! Totally cool :) It must warm your heart to know that she "gets it". Photography I mean. I can tell how happy it makes you :) :)My father in law is just ecstatic at the fact that our youngest son( being the most like his grandfather!!!) has decided to take up boxing..(my father in law won a couple of Australian titles when he was younger, and was instrumental in the training of a few young fellows at the boxing gym here.) The pride and happiness I see in him, just reminds me of what you are describing here Doyle :)
Beautiful shot of her by the way...lol...sorry, almost forgot about the picture, being taken in with the story and all!

Thanks Michele. After she slid next to me on the couch and wrapped her hands around my arm and gave me the most precious "I wanna take some pictures" comment . . . I immediately snarled at her that "it's a shame you don't have a camera, then." Of course, I should have guessed, "well can I use yoouuuurrs??" would be coming. So I explained to her she was completely out of her 8 year old mind . . . you know . . . using all the right words . . . and convincingly displayed the complexity of the D200 . . . after which I winked and told her "Grandma has one MUCH easier to work" and she scooted off, returning with Grandma's camera! (Genius, eh?)

Great story Doyle, and I agree TOTALLY COOL! Sometimes Collin will grab my Sony and tag along...take three steps, click, take three more, click...he outnumbers me 20 to 1! As for the "things you go through"...pure torture huh?

So, do we get to see some of her shots? That is so wonderful having her share your hobby. You are going to have some great fun. My little one got one of those kid proof camera for Christmas. She doesn't really know how to use it, but enjoys clicking through the pictures of the family and her dog that I put on it for her. Honestly, I am waiting for the time I can give her her first look at the Moon through my scope. This is a cute shot full of pride. I can just imagine the smile on your face. She's fortunate to have a good teacher to get her started.
