Thanks a lot for the dedication, Avi! This time I thought as if this were for me - so let me be a bit egoistic too! ;-)
Yep, abstraction again, and this time it seems to be the opposite of the other one. While the other one was pure abstraction of the depth, this seems to be an abstraction of flatness, but if one looks a tiny bit more carefully then... here comes the interesting thing!
It uses much the same elements - a pattern of lines and a window embedded within the pattern, the latter being also the pleasant "exception" of the rule, and also a mind-crusher. And we have also the pattern of shadows which gives us a "hint" for direction again - another mind crusher.
The lines alone (if we forget the window and the shadows) would suggest the direction perpendicularly to the direction of the depth. (Blue arrow on the attachment.) If you cover the window with a cut and paste of a part of the wall, you will think that the photo is almost flat.
Now on to the window. If one concentrates on it and forgets about the rest, then the suggested direction extends suddenly to the depth (yellow line on attachment.)
And if one concentrates on the shadows, then one "sees" the direction denoted with the green arrow.
Well, here comes the mind crushing - a delightful thing to do ;-)! How can flatness contain such hints for direction and depth? It reminds me of a quite ununderstandable thing that happens to photons! (And to photos too!!) To a photon the universe appears to be completely flat in the direction of its motion. Yet for us, it does have a direction of motion, and thus space in the direction of its motion cannot be flat (or else it wouldn't move.) The Lorentzian tranformation is able to translate between the two different views, and you just made a visual representation of its nature with this image, Avi!
It is certainly not the image that is "pleasant to look", and "ooooh, how sweet", and the like nonsense ;-) but it has immense content!
Photography goes to photonography here, and as a mathematician I have to be very very glad for that!
Thanks a lot for sharing, Avi. Now, would you mind to share the other contentful thing too? I mean the &%*£-bottle!!! ;-)
Cheers,
Nick

Thanky a lot Harry!
I can only hope that my "analytical brilliance" doesn't contain boring eloquence. ;-)
Seriously now, it is more the brilliant work of Avi and other people that I try to find adequate comments for. I just try to explain what I see in some image. I think it is a bit.... disrespectful for the work of other people to say only "Great image!", that's all.
All the best to you too!
Nick

Beautiful colour and texture Avi - I particularly like the double pattern of the shade from the tree onto the wall with the vertical lines. I do feel that you could place the windo slightly to the left and a little bit higher. A great abstract nonetheless! Joggie
