Excellent image, even know the little girl doesn't look to happy. I love the lighting, could you tell me what you did? Is it window light with some side bounched flash?

Aline Nedelec   {K:1067} 11/9/2007
Al, Thank you for you so nice comment.
Some seconds after this shot, the little girl was laughing on an other picture.
Yes, I used the light of a window. No flash (unfortunately I don't know what is a bounched flash).
The light was interesting, I tried to catch it.

Aline,

Bounch flash is where you have the light from your flash "bounch" off of a reflector or wall to fill in the dark side.

Are you going to post the one where she is laughing?

Aline Nedelec   {K:1067} 11/9/2007
Once again, Thank you, Al .. this time, for your kind explanations.
About the little girl laughing, I don't think I'll do : unfortunately, the picture is not better, and I think little girls sulking are as interesting as girls laughing :-)

J'adore le contraste des deux expressions.. Bravo pour cette prise au bon moment.

Wonmderfull, Aline. The girl looks like she just stopped crying and her (grand?)father is comforting her. I love back lighting and here it is perfect. Reflected light makes the face of the little girl not too dark, just prefect.
Nice overall contrast and colors.

Definitely one of the best shot I've seen today!

All the best.
