Excellent image, well captured. This one might have played well also a little darker... either from less exposure or from som PS work. The highlights in the sky and the lights on the far shore lack just a tad of detail.

This is a nice shot. Night photography is something I just got into. I think they are my favorite kind of photos. Try this same shot location, but with the full moon in the photo. Maybe try a double exposure if you can do that with your camera.

You caught on PDQ Chris considering you have only had your digital camera for so short a time . A beautiful image and so sharp. A great composition . Did you use a tripod ?
