the colors are almost real, mostly the wall was yellow and the tubes metalic grey... changed a bit under these filters...

the basic filter I use is at 'adjust' (image > adjust > local equalization, after some seconds the result cames, but the most of the times the photo is veeeeery grainy and with destroyed textures, so you must use some paint tools on these areas like the smeart tool, the blend tool, touch up brush tool etc (these are at effect toolbar)
just paint the bad areas and you'll see what it could happen...painting with different ways each time... I think the result could be nice...after that...ok, saturation, sharpness etc...classic works...

I don't know...perchaps...hahaha... at least because of grainy mode, my skin will looks better hahahahaha...
...like that wall...
anyway, don't know... I think I'll try some new portraits (of course with me...as I cannot find other person to be my model) on my new grand piano...hope to find the time (and the lamps for lighting conditions) to do that...

I like such capture John, since I did the same. There is a lot of shape, texture, colors for playing with a camera.. and the result depends also on the frame we chose. I like the color and the way you framed this one... this evidences the different "subjects" of your composition. I'm asking me on the right down part..Good or not..?? this is the question for me . This belong to the wall, but It attracts also a litlle bit too much the eye..
Anyway this is a really nice composition you did.
