Andrzej Pradzynski   {K:21177} 11/18/2007
Shirley, it's certainly sensual hot dance, I strongly suspect that brushes in my BR may occasionally dance and sing on Friday night, I have no strong prove but some pictures may suggest that. Cheers, NJ

Sandip Aine   {K:5166} 11/18/2007

I like this one better, Shirley. The colour is great. Although the sight of two toothbrushes doing the Jitterbug is a little unnerving. I hope you use mouth wash after this.

Shirley D. Cross   {K:140707} 11/18/2007
Hahaha...Thank you, Ann! Actually, I DO also use mouthwash!:)))

Nick Karagiaouroglou   {K:91061} 11/21/2007
The B&W version I do prefere much more than the color one, Shirley. And that because the main thing is enhanced here. And the main thing seems to be translucence! The image conveys (as so often in recent times) the visions of the genius of Giger with all his biomechanoids in a much stronger seriosity than the color one.

Any here I must ask, did you have such a vision, or was it rather "accidentaly"? In the latter case you really had much good luck, since translucence is a bit hard to imagine under the premises of the color original.

But your info about usage of an additional "selective inversion layer" demonstrates me very well something else too. Usage of a doubke exposure with the second frame overexposed could as well bring much the same result. I'll have to try that!

As about composition, not really extravagant, but just as about right for enhancing the main thing - translucence in a very special, almost unreal way.

All the best,

Nick

Shirley D. Cross   {K:140707} 11/21/2007
Thank you so very much, dear Ave!:)

a. gianfranco baccelli   {K:19333} 11/21/2007
I like this version...

Shirley D. Cross   {K:140707} 11/21/2007
Dear Nick, yes, by the addition of the second inverted layer, I was trying to add another dimension and more of a feeling of movement, too.

Thank you so very much for your wonderful comments!:)

Shirley D. Cross   {K:140707} 11/21/2007
Thank you so very much, A.!:)

Orazio Minnella   {K:46645} 11/22/2007
Great and creative work.
Orazio

John Hatz   {K:140178} 11/22/2007
that is really excellent, even I think it's a bit better the other pink colored version just because of the modern style of your subject, that is great too!
Best regards!

yasargun muslum   {K:5609} 11/22/2007
:) Excellent shot . . .

Nick Karagiaouroglou   {K:91061} 11/22/2007
I have to thank you for the nice explanation to me, Shirly!

Well, the second layer added the effect of luminance around the main subject, which provides a rather unreal touch to it. I have to try that out and see how I could achive something similar with multiple exposure!

You gave me an idea and I thank you very much for that!

Nick

andree lerat   {K:16731} 11/22/2007
