That's my Grandma. Almost a century alive and still very alive. Maybe that's her secret ;-)
I like the was she's facing us and "talking" to us. Also, the defocused background and object in fron of her help frame her and add depth to the image. In a way it reminds me some of Avedon's documentary pictures I recently admired at his site.
Shot handheld with Kodak's 400CN at 2.8 and something around 1/30 since it was a cloudy day and we were inside the house.
