About I shot this photo trying to get the milky waterfall look. I think I somewhat have it, but still need a lot of help.I also did a little ps work to it. I added an ambience filter to give the falls a shine. Please critique hard. Thanks!

Nice view!

Dear Ashley, it is a beautiful scene, and you've got the lovely milky look to the water, but the highlights are blown out in some areas, while the darker areas are still a little too dark. The best solution for this is to use a tripod and take two separate photos, being very careful not to move the camera or tripod, and make one exposure for the highlights, and one for the shadows, then combine them in your software later.

Thank you, waiting forever, for your critique!

Thank you dear Shirley for your help and honesty in your critique. I do see where you are talking about with the highlights and I think the way I edited it didn't help much. I used an ambience filter so that the water would glow, which may have caused it to look overexposed. Thank you again for your honesty. Best wishes,
Ashley
