holy cow! this is a beautiful shot. i agree, the dark background really makes everything burst brighter. the precision of focus on the eye is world class.

This one is my favorite one too.
Heliconias and Tree frogs are a beautiful combination.
For these night shots, it helps if you have somebody pointing at the subject with another flash light, and the MT- 24 EX with the 100mm F/2.8 is just fabulous.
