Merry Christmas!

Very dramatic sky countered by a steel gray sea. Nicely capture. Jan, you ask for a critique, the only think that comes to mind is it that if you had of taken it from a lower level you can move the horizon up farther from the middle of the image which may have made the composition more dramatic and interesting.
Joe

Joe -- Thanks so much for the comment and the constructive suggestion. I agree; I think the composition with some adjustment to the horizon would be an improvement.
--Best regards, Jan

Fabulous bands of colour, and I like the way the rays stream out from beneath the cloud.

Gorgeous colors in this sunset, Jan. And very angry, too. What a mood you captured. I am surprised by the lack of mean waves... the water looks so calm.

Best wishes and I wish you happy holidays, whatever kind they may be!

Jan Hoffman   {K:38998} 12/20/2007
Thanks so much Dave. This photo was taken just after an ice storm and the winds had substantially subsided; the sea was rippled but not too wavy.
Wishing you the best at holiday time, Jan

Del Metheny   {K:25342} 12/23/2007
Very dramatic shot. I frequently visit Ocean City Md but have never seen anything quite this colorful. Excellent capture.

Jan Hoffman   {K:38998} 12/23/2007
Thanks Del. The sky did not last long like this; just a few minutes after the storm.... then poof, gone. Luckily I was on the Ocean side or I would have missed the colors and light.
--Best wishes, Jan
