Yikes...I know you like honest comments, Paul, and I must admit that I dislike men with such big muscles, I find them so ugly(please donīt tell the model), but good lighting though:-)
Take care
Annemette

very good portrait with good side lighting, great highlight and shadow... yes very intimidating with that knife on his hand..
nice one Paul...

Paul, great character, strong appeal and skilled photographer, this is what good portrait is about. Love it, NJ

I somewhat agree with A. R. E. above but it's not really about liking or disliking the subject, it's what you did with him/her. In this case I think it's PERFECT. The super nasty looking knife stands out big time, the guy is in the shadows somewhat - which makes total sense - but the proper, spot on lighting for this situation, this subject brings it all together and makes it work. I think this is as good as it gets, can't think of anything you could have done to make it better. Excellent, even better than the color one IMO, Mark 7+
PS. would be really proud of the lighting and posing work you did here (just noticed would PS that tiny reflection out at the bottom of his left ear - no big deal, very little detail)

Thanks, Mark.
That means a lot.
That reflection on his ear is his diamond stud, which is why I left it there. He's BAD and he's bling.
