About Visiting couples are often sitting nearby with a glass of wine or a cold beer watching the sun set from this location on the Northshore of Kauai. The title just seems appropriate. Your opinions are always welcome and appreciated.

Vince,

I very much like the layered look you have achieved here. the colors you have captured are great also. I am also impressed with the silky smoothness of the water. overall a great capture. Another favorite going in my file. Your folio, I see has diminished in size. This has removed several of my favorites. Vince, I have very much enjoyed your photos and your banter. We have had a lot of fun on here. I hope to continue.

Aloha my friend,

Russ

Hi Vincent,
you mean all this, plus a glasse of wine? Heaven.
Splendid effect on the water, it looks like soft cotton. And all this sky burning and saying see you tomorow.
Great sho... ooppss.

Vince,

That looks like the point off Kee Beach where the Na Pali trailhead is, yes? Love the orange color just wish there wasn't so much haze. It would have been nice to see a bit more of the silhouetted coastline. Did you use a filter? What speed are you shooting the Velvia at?

Thank you for all of the nice comments. Russ, with all of the changes at Usefilm, I thought it best to start over since the quality of the images is better, plus I can chose my own border...rather than be stuck with white. I will eventualy get them all back up.

Sean, you are right, it is Kee, off the point. However, when a big swell hits the Northshore, the mist is so great at times that the NaPali is often obscured. There is NO pollution on the island, so that is where the haze is coming from....ocean mist. Don't worry, I have many others where the coast is very clear....will upload another day. I shoot Velvia at 50...always. I also used a graduated sunset filter from Cokin. (Hope this helps)

This is a great place for a Mai tai and to relax and enjoy the power of the ocean. Thanks again!

I knew it couldn't be smog but the times I've been there I've never seen that much mist. That spot was one of our favorites on the island. We were staying in a rental home just down the beach from there and were able to walk in about 20min. Way too nice.

I haven't played too much with the Cokin filters. I might have to take a look.

I am so glad to see this back on the site. Sometimes I leave short comments. Other times I ramble on as if someone were listening. In this case you already have my comment and will problably carry it with you for some time to come. I know this image of yours will be with me forever. Thanks again.
