As always your dalmatian look great and adds good sense of depth to this landscape. A beautiful photo even with smoke from the chimney which proves that what appeals the eyes canīt be prescribed or set in a recipe:-)

Hi Sam! Funny how the reflected electric lines match the water ripples. A somewhat sad mood saying goodbye to 2007. A very nice composition ... hope 2008 will bring you even more activities, health, wealth and happiness

Lovely lighting, reflections and detail. At a first glance I would have "stopped" the composition on the left, right after the steam. But those cables floating in the middle of the composition without a source would have spoiled it.
So you've made the perfect choice afaik.
