reminds me of some scary movie where this guy was tied to a rock in the desert and dragged it for mile till he died there on this spot....ok that is a little morbid but your photo is evocative enough to bring up other thoughts.....supper shot!

Just gotta ask...what moved that rock like, is this a river bed and water pushed it? But then it would have eradicated the pattern in the mud...do you have any idea?

Tim, this is a dry lakebed and the rocks do really move on them making tracks over time. Nobody has seen them moving but geologist claim that high winds and strong undercurrent makes them move. an unbelievable phenomenon on earth :-)

I saw photos of this on another site, I am totally at a loss to figure out how this occurs. I looked at all the photos the other person had of these rocks that seem to move and didn't see a single piece of evidence of a man moving the rocks. what a mystery.
great photo!

I have absolutely no critism on the image at all!. So beautifull; nice composition, nice job to put the stone as the main subject, you really managed it to let someone follow the stone and not get distracted by something else.
I would love to see the color version of it (if you have one).
All good, Tycho

Thanks Tycho for stopping by. I do have a color version but the light was so harsh, i preferred to convert it to B&W instead. I might do the color sometime though.
