Cool picture Rose, thanks for sharing! We have a couple here that are so elusive too, tricky to get a picture of them.

Thanks for the comment. They are hard enough to photograph, much less trying to focus from in a canoe, but somehow it turned out alright.

Nice capture of him, Rose! Believe it or not, I saw one of these guys fly right over my house just before Christmas. (I'm close to the Assiniboine River).

Nicely caught wingspread!! Aren't they majestic? And they love the cold. I saw 4 of 'em this AM on the way to work on the Des Moines river. It's great that you dont have to go to Alaska for their sightings, and the lower Tundras wheere we live is fine too. Chuckle!

Thank-you Sudhir. They are beautiful. I was very lucky to get this one. My dream is to one day get to Alaska. From what i have seen, it is so ruggedly beautiful and so many untouched parts. Someday soon i hope. You are very lucky to live in a place like that.
