An amusing photo, but I have to say Pelicans scare the HELL out of me!
They chase...and bite small children. O_o

Thanks Dani, Over here it's the Geese at the local ponds that chase the kids, I would love to see your Pelicans doing this as it would make for some more photo ops.

You are right it does look very much like a Calla Lily. Great capture. I've never seen the Brown Pelicans I am familar open their mouths this way. Maybe this is a difference between the two species?
