About After the long journey it felt really good getting a bath. The dolls helped me kindly, but I was too shy to undress in front of the sweet lady!

THanks a lot, dear Srna- a dolllife but no hidden cubbards with chocolate;-)

Patrick Crowther   {K:13570} 1/23/2008
One of those dolls has a very strange haircut. Several strands of hair look like they're trying to escape from her head.

Annemette Rosenborg Eriksen   {K:55401} 1/23/2008
That is actually a gentleman;-) He has what we would call hentehår in Danish meaning that he´s long time reached the stage where he´s almost bold but he fools himself having long hair on the sides that he pushes up across the bold area to pretend that he still has hair - shave it off and look trendy instead...and many do now*LOL*

Patrick Crowther   {K:13570} 1/23/2008
LOL! How are you my friend? Oxford is cold, wet and miserable. But, I thought I'd let you know that I met a very good photographer today called Paddy Summerfield who is a friend of mine, and he's convinced me that my self-imposed photography exile should end. So I think I might take some photos tomorrow. Have I told you about him before? He's great. Check out his website -http://www.paddysummerfield.com/flash/frontmx.html

That sounds like Hanehoved/Cockhead- my small village...yes that IS the name of it! Now everybody probably wants to visit Denmark.
I´m glad you bumped into Paddy that you told me about earlier and that he convinced you to go off taking some more photos- this way of expressing your thoughts, inner fears, hopes, longings should never be suppressed. Finding new motives is good but only when you´re ready for it - it should come naturally!
I´m glad for that decision, Patrick.

Annemette Rosenborg Eriksen   {K:55401} 1/23/2008
I´m sorry if I sound cheeky refering to my village- it´s just that in English it sounds so innocent whereas I would never say it in Danish;-)I hope I make sense.

Yes, not a style that I cherish, but like your Shirley I also became a host for the tiny bear from California agreeing to photograph and write diary here from Denmark. A sweet way to bring people together across borders and mental lines as well:-)
No artistic photos this week but pure fun.
Indeed many children all over the world have no toys like this, they have barely sth. to eat and it´s heartbreaking. It has always been like this and even more before we got wealthy in the western part of the world. The medias pass on many stories for us never to know had it been ealier in time. This also means that we should react and be human/compassionate. If all do little it will mean everything to many families.
Yes, sometimes we get sad for many reasons, most of all due to frustration because we wish we had more power to intervene in a positive way on many levels here in life.
A big warm hug for you and wishes to see you smile again.

Thanks Arif- just some more silly shots from Denmark:-)

Patrick, you are very lucky having this wonderful photographer as a friend; his potfolio is really impressive and envy his website, one of the best presentation i''ve ever seen; thanks for introducing him to me. be well....txules

Patrick Crowther   {K:13570} 1/24/2008
Isn't he brilliant? He's a lot older and a lot more experienced than me as a photographer, so I learn a lot from him. He threatened to become well known in the 1970s, but he doesn't like promoting himself, so he's quite obscure. He used to exhibit with Martin Parr years and years ago, but never achieved the same success.

thanks for the information Patrick and yes he is really brilliant, If i only could take one picture like that¡¡¡
