Thanks Peta. It was pretty simple lighting. The bird was part of a free flight show at a Gold Coast wildlife park. It was late afternoon and the bird just happened to settle on a convenient post in the sunshine with a heavily shadowed background. All I had to do was press the shutter at the right moment.:)

After the last two, this comes across as somewhat subdued!

It is actually very elegant, although I find there are two photographs here. I like the pattern of the feathers on his tummy. But I keep getting distracted by that brilliant eye...
