Good use of available light and the grain complements this

Very intimate and meditative. The grain aids to set the mood very effectively.

Well done!

hey Rog,
thanks again for the proposal,
i have to say again :), that i would choose for the final version some tones between yours and my version. in my version the red is dominant and i think too hard for the eye, while in your version i think the photo is losing much of its mood created by lampgoldlight. so i think a version somewhat in between these two might just work.

I can imagine that very well, Visar, and my imporession is that of a hard decision, but one that *had* to be taken anyway, since there were no other alternatives. What could that be? Well, some blackened relationship, some acceptance of the own mistakes, some abandoning some dreams for standing upright... anything like that, anything like Woolf.

And I am absorbed by the light, as it seems to come only when the potential receptor *is* willing to receive it by accepting it and also the truths that it brings. Without accepting them in a peaceful way and without screaming against them when they talk against us, any light will remain away.

I think that the conveyed silence of the atmosphere is very well represented by the absence of too many colors. It seems that the almost monochrom look in those very light cream-yellowish tones makes it quite visible.

Cheers,

Nick

I really like the lighting conditions, the mood, & most of all the face expression of the girl. to me it looks like she is hesitant & not sure.. kind of not trusting the new beginnings as you said. you know how it is.. when you have been in the dark for so long & you see the light.. you are afraid to be happy & enthusiastic since experience tells you that it might not last long. Sad..
this is the impression I get from this dear Visar.
well done
E
