Hi Yamil,
A common Gull, but a great shot!
We had some fun a couple of years ago in Cape Cod, watching this kind of gull picking up shellfish and dropping them on the rocks from up high on purpose to break them open. I suppose they must do the same thing down there too.

Thanks for your comment.
They do exactly what you just describe.
Other ducks such as the White-winged, the Common Golden Eye, Barrow's Golden Eye and Surf Scoter, swallow the whole shellfish.
These guys are very smart. They wait until the ducks capture the shellfish and still it from them.
It's lots of fun to watch them in pursue of food from other birds.
