About no way, that... thing, is tiny, it's size is no bigger than just 4 milimeters, I use my Sigma 150mm 1:1 macro with my Sigma 2X converter and full power lighting from Canon EX580II to get that tiny shot with an f/45. of course manual focus ande of course with a big fat tripod...

hope you like that ...thing...

The hairy moth... looks like a creature from another world.. these details are not easily seen in normal conditions, we don't see the details usually in small creatures but you have captured it showed it for us to see.., these amazing details.
Those white things on its wings are like tiny fibers, interesting!...

Annemette Rosenborg Eriksen   {K:55371} 2/17/2008

John Hatz   {K:139710} 2/18/2008
thanks Robert!
I had difficulties on that, that focus cames from ...believe me... f/45!!! (that cames from Sigma 150mm f/22 plus the 2X converter, however, even that aperture wasn't enouph to get full focused bug...

John Hatz   {K:139710} 2/18/2008
thanks so much Pablo!
be well my friend!

John Hatz   {K:139710} 2/18/2008
hahahahaha.... no way Srna, after that I sleep with my best friend, Tezza spray, hahahahaha.... from now on, I'll put my camera to the ...basket and I'll use bug eresers only! :-DDD
I found it into my house's wall, they are many of them and many times cames into houses, very common, like tiny flies, however never show these so carefully and ....yea, after that I'll try my best to put them away from me! :-D

John Hatz   {K:139710} 2/18/2008
thanks so much Gerhard for your kind comment.
yea, I don't know it's name however they are pretty common here.

John Hatz   {K:139710} 2/18/2008
thanks so much Bernardo for your kind comment!
haha... nop, I think that's a very common ''fly'' here in Greece, but I think nobody try to see these details...
Also you cannot give the name to an animal of somebody that he will try to eleminate them hahahahaha..... just kidding! :-D

John Hatz   {K:139710} 2/18/2008
thanks a lot Robert.
...even I...even that is a pretty common bug here. Small one, the size (with it's wings) is no bigger than 3-4 milimeters!

Dave Stacey   {K:114933} 2/18/2008
Excellent macro, John! I think it's some kind of moth and you've captured it very well!
