February 7th 2008 marks the begining of the Chinese New Year. In Los Angeles Old Chinatown they hold a Chinese New Year Parade, called the the Golden Dragon Parade. In the middle of winter, the skys cleared and a bright sunny day made for a beautiful parade. Floats, bands, local politicians, queens and princesses, and of course, a lot of interesting patrons of the parade. I tried to capture the parade and the people in the crowds to give a sence of what it was like to be there. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did taking the images.
