About We managed to get these decent photos of aeroplanes near the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok last month. We were harassed by local airport officials but just went further down the road to take these photos. It's sad that you can't sit on the roadside and enjoy these beautiful machines flying by without being forced to move on.

nice frame composition James of different kind and type of airplanes, good work.

An excellent collection. And yes, it is sad that photographers are harassed in more and more situations. I also find aeroplanes fascinating, but the chances to photograph them are becoming fewer and fewer...

That must have been fun but also a bit noisy, good shots of the different airlines. I guess in this day and age everyone is paranoid. I have trouble taking the outside of buildings in my town. Alison

as long as you're not causing problems for traffic (parking in a no-stop zone for example) and don't put ladders up against fences you're fine in most of the civilised world.

If you're harassed by rentacops (or real ones) take their name and number, demand to be put through to their supervisors, and file an official complaint as you're doing nothing wrong.

Of course if you're on private property you may be tresspassing, and if you're photographing military objects that might be illegal (know the law!) but in general if you're on public land there's nothing anyone can do to stop you.
