Hi,
Nice Concept... Good Work!!!
Would you kindly share how did you do it!!!

Regards,
ujjal

Hugo de Wolf   {K:184670} 2/26/2008
hi Ujjal,

Thanks for your comment. I stuck a suction cup to the outside of the car, hooked up my camera to it, and used a wire-trigger to remotely control the camera. Had a friend of mine drive the car.

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi Hugo,
Good to see you back again!
I read your explanation for how you did this image. Great idea using a suction cup. I hope you also had some sort of rope or strap attached :)
On a slightly different topic. Isn't it amazing how today's mobile video equipment can get such great footage of the Formula 1 cars and other racing cars now a days.

Thank you for your kind words, AmirAli!

Would you please show me how to improve the colors in this photo?

Thanks,

Aline Nedelec   {K:1052} 2/27/2008
Hé, Hugo ! What a pleasure to see you back. I was despairing to have news from you. How are you ?
I'm honestly impressed by your picture. The most common of the daily situations transformed through your eyes, with this low POV, the movement and reflections melting the car with the background. Everything is suggested : The move from the darkness to the light, the slow down, the cold ambiance of the gas stations. Superb.
I really hope to see more !

Aline Nedelec   {K:1052} 2/27/2008
By the way ... I'm curious to know how you did that. Looks as the camera was fixed to the car : the movement is seen from the car, not from a static observer

Maja Godec   {K:10106} 2/27/2008
Brilliant!!

Marian Man   {K:62533} 2/27/2008

Marian

Markus Scholz   {K:22743} 2/27/2008
This is a wonderful image and worth every effort to take it. It gets it's balance from the reflections of the background in the car. Very well done, congratulations!
Cheers, Markus
PS: Maybe you should improve the colors a bit;)

Hiya

Nice stuff Hugo...trust all is well?

Did you have to clear up the tarmac or did most of it disappear in the blur....don't change the colors..great as they are...love the composition.

Cheers matey

Ah ha, so the Wolf is back! Good to see you here, Hugo!

Now, as to correcting those colours, I think you can do it in three easy steps:

1. Go down to your friendly local car dealer.
2. Write out a large cheque.
3. Drive away in a bright red new car.

Done.

Actually, I think the colours are rather good. There's an echo of the grey and black of the car in the forecourt and the sky. The red and white lights provide a sweeping link between the two. I also like the way you capture the motion in the lights and the wheel, but retain perfect sharpness in the car. Altogether, it's a pretty sophisticated shot (though I'd expect nothing less from you!)

A great result, Mate, from your new toy! :)

Although I like this one a lot, I prefer the 'tunnel' ones....not only are they more colourful, but, IMHO, they're more striking and effective. I hope you're going to include one of those in this 'Blurry Image' triptych of images. :)

Cheers

Phil

Tycho Posthumus   {K:249} 2/29/2008
Nice idea, but I think it's not really more then that, sorry. I find the colors a bit grey. Maybe some curves-playing and then it will be a pretty nice shot.

Dirk Noort   {K:9197} 2/29/2008
