Day of good wishes

Colors are beautiful. I wonder if a landscape oriendation would have been better. I wish I could see more of the sides with the same DOF.

Maybe not! at leat not with that lens...The horizon would be too curvy. I still wish I couls see it in landscape.

sascha jonack   {K:17576} 2/29/2008
I like the angle and the cloudy sky. A very well composed image, but I think it would work better if it would be in B&W.

Nice perspective and angle Keith, I like the horizon centered giving more emphasis to your subject, and nice the way the patterns in the sand lead the viewer in...very good technicals...nice moody shot, I also like the way the lines in the boat break up the natural patterns in the landscape. How did you get those tones, maybe it's the addition of the vignette? :)

I like the low and wide angle perspective of this image. I have never tried any HDR yet, looks intresting.

Bill

For me the boat is not the main subject although it is needed for the overall photo.

I like the textures in the sand and the rope, with the refections and moody tones.

Low angle (POV) works really well.

Sky is good.

If anything, the boat is a little too end on, and I would have preferred a little more side, but that lies with my personal taste.

All the best.

Beautiful!

Keith Saint   {K:10926} 2/29/2008
Thanks Linda

I achieved the tone by just adding a little more saturation and using a dodge and burn technique normally used for B&W
I have been trying to get the hang of HDR for a while and feel that I still have a way to go but Im getting there

Dramatic. Beautiful shot, very moody

I love the reflection in the water, but it would be great to see a bit mor detail in the clouds, maybe some more contrast
