About If you stop rushing to photograph and calm your mind.
Seen at a famous tourist stop in Los Angeles.

Burned and dodged according to nature's dictates.

No, John, don't think it's overdone. Well done, I would say. It would have been nice if Nature had done all the burning and dodging by itself but that's too much to expect. Rather like the Japanese approach to garden design. "It would have been nice if Nature had looked like this, so let's make the garden look like it anyway..."

As a thumb it is PERFECT, large format I get lost in details. So dodging and burning is not the point, it needs some mart blurring or a velvet mask ?
Otherwise great image.

Nature gave us the curve. The powdery whites are beautiful, and I have seen such texture..
