About These brothers live wild with the rest of the family in the rocks by the port. They seem pretty healthy and happy, and never fail to put on a show - be it a display of "cattitude" or a playful "fight" - whenever I go past with a camera.

As usual, serious critiques are welcome.

very nice frame... about the way you 'use' that fence as frames into your frame, and the cats takes good positions into them, good composition AJ.
best regards!

AJ Miller   {K:44211} 3/18/2008
Thanks John - I see these guys quite often and they always seem ready to pose.

AJ

AJ Miller   {K:44211} 3/18/2008
Thanks Ilir - this was just a moment of sunshine on an otherwise stormy day. The shot was taken at the same time as the previous one of the whaling station.

They look so cute and healthy AJ, they must be feeded by someone it seems, look like twins...male for sure:)) Thats what they say about red cats anyway....the poles are just great in between! Jen

AJ Miller   {K:44211} 3/18/2008
Thanks Jen. Yes, they do look quite healthy, though they spend a lot of time scratching! No shortage of food, though...

make me smile.. This is a nice shot AJ. I like to observe them since they bring with them this peaceful feelings. I have just one regret for this composition : the fact that one cannot see all the head of the left cat.
Anyway this is a really nice work.
Compliment

AJ Miller   {K:44211} 3/18/2008
Yes, your are right, Fabrice. But for that one blade of grass... Many thanks for your comment.

So sorry I have not commented your image before AJ,
but I was so very much in shock what has happened under my last post ... I am getting out of this shock and I ll be very short only this time ... your image is EXCELLENT my dear friend as usual ;))))!!! Nothing more to add !!!
Thank You !
Warmest hugs,
Srna

AJ Miller   {K:44211} 3/19/2008
No worries, Srna, and thanks so much for your comment.

Just ignore what happened the other day - the guy is not worth wasting time or energy over. The problem is his, not yours.

AJ

Hello AJ,
Thanks for the advice on changing my Country.
You are already my wife's favourite photographer with this KITTY photo. Have you seen my Kitty ? It is my first pic I posted.
You seem to do a bit of travelling, so.....when are you coming to South Africa ?

Groete,
Cas.

AJ Miller   {K:44211} 4/29/2008
Happy to help, Cas. Glad you liked this one - I've got lots of these guys, and two more in particular ready to upload. But as I like to mix my subjects and space my uploads, it could be a while before they appear!

South Africa? Well, it's not a place I've been, so perhaps I should add it to my list...

AJ

Sam Andre   {K:12436} 5/4/2008
They seem to be doing what cats do best... pretending they don't notice you are there :))

Cas  van der Walt   {K:476} 5/5/2008
AJ, Don't wait too long. I miss a lot of pics. if I don't go on line every day.
Groete,
Cas.

Cathy Carroll   {K:27307} 5/18/2008
This is just gorgeous, I love repetition in images.
I would bet these cats are brothers as I have never seen a fully ginger female, always white bits or tortie. Isn't the lighting superb?? It is such s shame there is a blade of grass across one cat's eye, otherwise I would have to give this a purrfect score. CC

AJ Miller   {K:44211} 5/18/2008
Many thanks, Cathy. Again, I can't be sure whether they are boys are girls. But I do know that many years ago in England we had a fully ginger female.

The light was certainly special, and it lasted just 20 minutes or so. As to the grass, yes, I didn't spot this at the time. I will look through the other shots I took to see if there's another without the grass. Observations such as this are much appreciated as they indicate details I may have missed.
