nice! good tones, I like the duck's dark tone, hmmm... not sure about the way's of IR photography (never try it...) BUT I think you must try to use a bit smaller apertures because lately the focus goes a bit to the back of your main objects, really don't know why that happens, but again the focus is not 100% to the duck's face but at the back, on the water's texture...

Thanks John,I think the answer is the 300/4 lens
isn`t giving the precise focus or the focusing on the small area of the head moves beyond that point.It`s quite heavy for hand holding at a low speed at f8.This the Ir converted D70 which requires a f-stop of at least f8.

Great concept shot Robbie! I can relate to the focusing frustrations as well, as my 400/5.6 tends to do the same thing, esp hand held as you note... Still a great shot!

Hello Robbie ..I like this duck in IR ...sooooo different and more sleek in appearnace..It works very well . A very clever and well worked out compositon IMHO my friend ...keep surprising US :))
