About I took this photograph two years ago and posted it here at UF. I visited the place again and the Siniguelas tree is not there anymore.
Siniguelas is a plum like fruit with a big woody seeds, sweet and juicy when ripe. It sheds all its leaves during hot summer months such as now, March, and then the flowers then fruits only till the rainy season arrives in August.
I didn't feel good not seeing that solo siniguelas tree there anymore... my tribute to her.

Singular trees are always mesmorizing. At least these children made it not alone for some time. I love how all the childrens silhouettes are separate, just like the tree.Beautifull shot. Congrats,
Martijn

Wowww.....dear Bobot, the silhouettes are just perfect with the light around the tree!!!
What a pity this tree has gone, must have felt very bad and sad...its a piece of life and our environment, can feel this emotion about it...great you had this captured 2 years ago! Thanks for sharing dear friend, big hugs Jen

Subrata  Roy Chowdhury   {K:242} 3/30/2008
Joyous expression of children added an altogether new dimension to a sense of loss you have experienced.Children seem to be suggesting life is like that.We must come to terms with it.Great shot. Thanks for sharing.

John Hatz   {K:124615} 3/30/2008
absolutely excellent shot, impressive silhouettes against the strong sunlight and the best point for the sun at the back of the tree, nice posing of people having fan and also impressive that the shadows makes a nice effect on the foregrounded grass... of course into my favorites... a perfect photo...well seen in greyscale.
best regards!

Hi John, thanks for your comment, the original is in color, http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1073042.
When I took this picture all I asked of them was to pose and imitate the tree, I was very happy at the first shot, that was all I said. I remember...
thanks again my friend.

Ronny Sen   {K:961} 4/2/2008
Stunning !

visar sherifi   {K:15331} 4/2/2008
This is a gem.
a fantastic composition, the lighting very extravagant, the sharpness very striking with its accurrate focus thus revealing a heavenly moment of sheer joy.

it is unreal/ surreal- dazzling I would say, Bobot! whenever catching that moment that is particular on its content, and pretty much most of the moments are, but they are only wrongly taken; it is ravishing in its outlay as it might anytime surpass what our eyes scan and only pass through without scrutinizing. thus, you have frozen a moment that is dreamlike.

all that is for the time it was taken!
now, with all the background of the lone tree that exists no more on this vast field, this shot gains the character so monumental- that surely enough deserves its place for some campaign against all the human caused shameful actions of destroying the nature on allegedly calling on higher causes- which to me, ala, it passes onto human stupidity.

all the best,
v.

PS: i have to let you know, that this shot, is definitely amongst the top 5 in UF so far, to my taste.

parehan .K   {K:19254} 4/2/2008

Great tribute IMHO!
I like the compo and the shadows and lights plays between the branches tree.
The crowning touch is related to the human silouettes distribution alogn the horizon line
Really a gerat work
My best compliments
Paolo
