Gracias Marina, me alegra que te guste (y viste, me llevaste a las estatuas!).
La foto original era mucho más lavada, aquí aislé la estatua, del fondo, y los trabajé de modos diferentes, pero tratando que se integren armoniosamente... Tuve la idea de bajar desde el cielo el dedo de Dios, o con más humor, el brazo de Superman, pero bueno...así está bien, así está bien, ya es suficiente, me dije....ja...ja...

yea, that is nice, the lighting on the statue is excellent and adds contrast from the background, impressive also lower point of view that makes the statue looks even bigger and more impressive, something that gives points to the dramatic style of the photo... drama that already added by the tones, contrast on greyscale and heavy cloudy sky, surely a great work Gustavo... of course excellent.

Preciosa estatua fotografiada en el museo de arte a cielo abierto de mi "Buenos Aires querido", cuando me hacia la rata, epoca del secundario...37 anios atras, me deleitaba en el cementerio de La Recoleta a ver las obras de arte que en el se encuentran... te aseguro que no me bastaban las 4 horas a disposiciòn. Preciosa fotografia Gustavo, felicitaciones!

Efectivamente mi querido amigo, es tu tipo de fotos y sin dudas vos sos una de mis inspiraciones para hacer estas cosas. Al decir de alguno por ahí: te habría robado un poco...ja...ja...pero nosotros que sabemos reconocer y compartir, también sabemos que la afición y el arte (y aquí que cada uno se ponga el sayo que crea le corresponde...;-)), son un trabajo en equipo...como mínimo entre uno y sus inspiradores....;-).

Efectivamente Alida!, creo que mencioné por ahí que la tomé en "la recoleta", pero si la reconociste, una felicitación a vos por el ojo atento y la memoria!...:-), como ya mencioné, me gusta pasear por lo cementerios, y el de "la recoleta", como vos decis, es una obra de arte.
Te digo algo yo, tantos recuerdos preciados, merecen que regreses unos días a Buenos Aires.

Gracias Ugo, los cementerios siempre tienen bellas estatuas, en este caso, y como destaca Alida, el cementerio de "la recoleta" en Buenos Aires es una verdadera obra de arte, como también aquel de Milan que mencionas vos.

A very very strong depiction of contrasts on contours, Gustavo! The image looks a lot as if it was consisting of two things: The lines of a drawing and the colors of a painting applied in the regions between them. The sky makes the appearance of the figure very dramatic too, especially with that quite "heavenly" expression on the face that carries all details in order for that expression to be recognizable under that hard angle of view.
The manipulated image is definitely much stronger than the original. And it also gives me an idea for achieving something similar with B&W film.
