About And once again for the walls and windows under sunlight. The pidgeon did me the favor to stay there while I was shooting - perhaps a small hint for the laid-back atmosphere in the streets. I'd be glad for any commentd.

just like Dave said, tones and shadows that you have captured are well preserved here Nick; and the way the composition is fractioned i find it really attractive. and of course as you said it yourself, the pigeon did you a favour-- strange, i never noticed pigeons in such weather being so alone and sitting like that.

cheers,
v.

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Dave!

That kind of color and light/shadow is some of the main igredients of that town. Very photogenic to me.

I thank you very much for the encouraging comment, Gustavo!

I don't really know if the series is as "original" though. (Not to speak about "successful" ;-)) The images seem quite usual to me, but I am very glad if you find them so good.

Many many thanks for the nice comment, Yazeed! Indeed the colors of Florence are quite appealing to me too.

Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the nice and detailed comment, Visar!

There were many cases of such "solitary" pidgeons there in Florence. I had the impression that many of them had their own personal resting places before they fly and join the others. I notice also other strange behavioral patterns of birds walso here in Lucerne. The swans and other birds that live in the river and the lake stay awake and fully active even at midnight. Perhaps a change of natural behavior because of the neighborhood to humans?

But I am not a very good observer of animal behavior, and so I could be also completely mistaken. I could tell you more about their aerodynamical properties than of anything else they do. ;-)

Cheers!

Nick
