Excellent frame, perfect diagonal position for the instrument and the target on the hands in a really nice position AJ, really great frame on a VERY difficult subject, bravo!

Happy to see you back dear AJ, great capture of the trumpet, the red is delicious as a reflection, forgot what you played??;)) Hoping you have a musical day! xxJen

I wouldn't say nice, as that wouldn't fit the subject and expertly captured shot... Very graphic AJ,best regards, riny

Thanks John. A difficult subject? Maybe I just got lucky!

Thanks Jen. Made it back from Tanger safely - but only just... And the levante is still blowing, so the photos will continue to be sporadic.

The red reflection was a bit of a bonus - they had put up railings covered in red cloth around the church and all the instruments were reflecting the colour.

What do I play? I can play the chest of drawers. (Sorry, silly English joke...)

Many thanks Tony. I got quite a few from this particular evening and was pleasantly surprised how well the Nikon / Sigma combo worked on this occasion.

Thanks Riny. This was a bit of a new subject for me but I found that it was one that was actually quite easy to work with.

Serious critiques? It's fricken' cool. And I'm as serious as a heart attack. The diagonals are awesome and the red reflected in the brass give the instrument the contour and shape. Excellent focal clarity and a perfect depth. Rich, well saturated colors and the convergence of the diagonals with the focus on the hands and music make for a spot-on "rule of thirds" composition. Be proud of this one dude!

Doyle I <~~~~~

Wow, that is quite some comment, my friend! But I appreciate it especially, Doyle, because you go into quite some detail as to why you like it. Thank you so much, and I hope we'll be seeing more shots from you soon.
