What a great view, Tim, and you've got a great capture of it with the dramatic clouds over the mountains.

Tim  Schumm   {K:27204} 4/4/2008
Well Avi i did move here for the view partially....the great thing about it is that you know someone that lives here now and you could visit!

Tim  Schumm   {K:27204} 4/4/2008
Hi Debarshi,

I have been working more then usual since getting back from Antarctica and have not had the time to get out and shoot some film. A tough thing when the landscape is calling every day

fotogr@vi     {K:57146} 4/4/2008
Absolutely !.. and thanks for the invitation. As it happens, I was talking to a fellow UF-er today (Debarshi - you know him too) and we were discussing about your shots.

I guess it's telepathy ! :)

Tim  Schumm   {K:27204} 4/4/2008
haha i was just messaging him too.....wonder what time it is over at Deb's place right now?

fotogr@vi     {K:57146} 4/4/2008
oh I know exactly what time it is there. He is in India now, which is 9.5 hours ahead of EST - which means, right now it's 6 pm here on the East Coast, while it is 3.30 am (Apr 5) in India.

What time zone are you in ?

Tim  Schumm   {K:27204} 4/4/2008
I am in Mountain Standard...4pm right now

Roger Skinner   {K:66362} 4/5/2008
man.. those trees ...theyre black

Roger Skinner   {K:66362} 4/5/2008
Hey Tim... have you seen Wim Wenders book Pictures From The Surface Of The Earth?? I think you might enjoy it...

Tim  Schumm   {K:27204} 4/5/2008
Hi buddy....nope I haven't seen it yet. But i will give it a look now that you mentioned it. As to the blackness of the trees....I am working out aspects and quirks of this new D300. It has a setting that lightens areas like the trees but to me looks weird and fake. Though granted i am still playing with this huge menu and trying to get it to the point of satisfaction...this is no point and shoot camera, with a quality and personality of its own.

Your backyard defeats my backyard view any day.
