Quite a nice lighting under that color combination, which somehow resembles the paintings of winter scenes by the old scholl naivistes. Especially the rather schematic trees on the snow support well that style. The subtle haze-like look enhances that look of "cold outside, warm inside" too.

The composition is quite good horizontally with some minor vertical problems of the cut houses at the edges left and right. I guess the proximity of the houses didn't allow any better separation.

BTW what is the "Velvia effect"? I only know Velvia as film.

Cheers!

Nick

Thanks a lot for the info, Guido! I found the action in the web, and it had really to do with the Velvia film I already mentioned. The action is just mimicking Velvia film in a rather naive way.

I could work with it but when I can load the real film in my camera then who cares about the action?

Cheers!

Nick
