Congratulations Avi! Such a good thing to see and start the morning with a toast to you! So it seems that the concentration of awards tends to be centered around the street pack, ey? ;-) Hey, we are trendy! ;-)
What I find so good here is the perfect separation of that superstar from the background, and that in so dark tones for both of them. It seems that separation via focus can raise the perceived contrast in miraculous ways! And I see also that your focus on the superstar was perfect! I see that look to the stars in a moment of performing dedication of the celebrated, and also the great details of the nice pullover. I assume, somebody said, you'll sing *after* putting this on! ;-)
The background is quite fitting too. Much of a scene built up by thinking of it as a scene, which perfectly fits here. So that would be your spotlight, and here is your amps, and that's your scene decor. It has humor and love without going into the sugar coated regions of kitsch, and that's quite a thing!
BTW, only for curiosity, was there anything special to look at on the ceiling, or was it really a moment of "high singing performance power"?
