hi Noemi, the magic of uf at work, I upload a picture in Australia and straight away a nice comment from the other side of the world, it must be late Tuesday in Houston? I would like time to visit your pictures, thank you so much for appreciating 'oblivious', cheers, david.

This is just gorgeous, David...like gleaming copper! Could also be in the Patterns in Nature Project.:)

hello Michelle, thank you for your positive critique, we were walking along a high jetty and happened to look back at the beach, there it was, magnificent light, guess the beach must be 'scalloped' for some reason? and as for the seagulls, they hadn't got a clue what was going on, just the endless search for food! cheers, david.

david henderson   {K:10786} 4/16/2008
Hussam, thank you very much for taking the truble to have a look and comment on this image. cheers, david.

hello Jen, have you been in Australia? it's a funny thing, I am not sure whether a magnificent location necessarily means a magnificent photograph, like cameras, an accomplished Australian photographer (John Fields) said to me 'david, it doesn't matter how much money you spend on camera's, it will not improve the quality of the photographs you are making'....thanks for that, John! I wonder if it is the same with locations? thank you so much fr your comment cheers, david.

david henderson   {K:10786} 4/16/2008
Many thanks for looking and comenting. cheers, david.

david henderson   {K:10786} 4/16/2008
thank you Shirley, I value your comments and appreciate the time you take to look at my work, I worry about 'tinting' images because I can't get over the thought that I am doing it because I can and not because it will enhance the feeling or the intent of the image, we have all these toys so I 'spose we are going to play with them! kind regards, david.

Shirley D. Cross   {K:140542} 4/17/2008
Don't worry so much about 'playing' with your images, David. Just do what is the most fun for you. There will always be those 'purists' who don't believe we should do anything to alter our images. However, the very act of taking the photo is altering reality. Ansel Adams would have been one of the first to embrace digital imagry and all it entails. Anyway, you are very welcome!:)

This is wonderful. I love the golden tones and the overall dreamy feeling. The seagulls add a great perspective showing the size of the scene. Beautiful image.

skimming through the thumbs of your portfolio this caught my eyes. Just wondering why there is no award for this fantastic capture.. beautiful colors and the continuous curves is really the eye catcher here.. awesome find!
if there is something else I would have wanted to do about this great composition, maybe I would want a vertical shot to eliminate the space on the right, or probably more on the center.
great shot!
regards.
